Interesting

I think you might have exagerated a bit.

Exageration? In a comic!? Never!

Great one though, and it's true about them going on for that long. Anyone remember the unskipable intro to Magic Carpet? Or Theme Park? Or Black & White? Or, uh, ANY Peter Molyneux game? Not that I'm complaining - I wouldn't want to skip it anyway - and besides, Molyneux can do no wrong.

I think this is the most brilliant comic so far. I hate long intro cutscenes, especially the unskippable ones.

I like long intros as long as they manage to create ambience. They should be skipable, though.

Beyond Good and Evil has unskipable cutscenes, get's annoying when you accidentally hit the 'new game' button and have to sit through a good 5 minutes of cutscene before you can quit out (or if you're clever, like me, you hit alt F4, but most people aren't clever like me). It was good the first time, but now it's just redundant.

Oh, and nice comic, the randomness of GG's face coming to look if it's done yet was a nice touch.

The Exaggeration!

this comic positively made me laugh.

the Grumpy Gamer comics themselves are like one long intro for a new Ron Gilbert Game!

(we're not worthy)

I think Futurama may want their 1st episode premise back.

Ha! It's more of an homage to  the classic George Pal version of The Time Machine (as was Futurama).

That was excellent! By far the funniest one yet. Keep 'em coming!

"Or, uh, ANY Peter Molyneux game?"
Hmm I don't think that any molyneux games get even near Metal Gear Solid (on the PS) for the honour of having the longest unskippable cut scenes. (and many of them too)

Haha best yet!

Hmm I don't think that any molyneux games get even near Metal Gear Solid at all... ^_^'
Anyway, MGS has completely skippable cut scenes... ;)

Lol, great. I always watch the intro. But I only want to watch it once. If they really want us to watch them over and again, make them skippable but let us watch them when we like.

You need a game that just doesn't have cut scenes, intros or a story. Just something to defeat. Like this free game: Warning Forever! (for PC)

At what age will the mitic double G be able to play the game? I think that only Bender the robot knows the answer

well done Ron...
it's aces, just aces.....

No discussion of long cut scenes is complete without mentioning Xenosaga.  Don't remember if those are skippable or not.
